Kiss the Bridesmaid by Susan R. Hughes

BrideCover.inddOn June 9th, my brand-new novella, Kiss the Bridesmaid, will be available as part of the Weddings on Main Street boxed set.

The story is a sequel to Secret Vow. Taking place in the fictional town of Eastport, Ontario, where Brooke and Ian fell in love, it picks up seven months later as Brooke and Ian are preparing for their wedding. If you’ve read Secret Vow, you’ll enjoy revisiting the town and the characters living there, but you don’t need to have read it in order to follow the story. Kiss the Bridesmaid centers on Ian’s long-lost sister, Mari, and the wedding photographer, Jake. This is a sweet love story with just a touch of heat.

After a disastrous marriage, Jake isn’t looking for another serious relationship. He only wants to provide a better life for his four-year-old daughter. But his resolve falls apart when he sets eyes on Mari Bennett, and a near-tragedy spurs him to place his heart on the line again.

Having moved from the city to a small town to take up beekeeping, then met the brother she never knew she had, Mari figures serving as a bridesmaid should be a piece of cake. The icing on that cake turns out to be the gorgeous wedding photographer with an adorable daughter. Life couldn’t be sweeter until a problem Mari had thought she’d left in the past resurfaces to threaten her future.

I hope you’ll pick up a copy of Weddings on Main Street and enjoy Kiss the Bridesmaid along with ten other wedding stories by my talented fellow Main Street authors!
