It’s Christmas on Main Street Again!

XMAS 2014sm 849 x 500

Last year the Authors of Main Street released Christmas on Main Street—11 holiday stories for only .99 cents. It was a soaring success, flying to the top of Amazon’s bestseller list. Tuesday, November 11, the boxed set will once again hit the airwaves, but this time we’ve added a story from our own bestselling author, Joan Reeves.

My book, A Light in the Christmas Cafe, is number 7. It was the fifth book I published, but it was my first completed novel, so of course, it holds a tender place in my heart. But that is true of all my books, and like all of my books, it’s completely family friendly. It’s a great gift for anyone ages 8-102! If you buy my book and write a review, please let me know so I can thank you with a 100% off coupon for any of my other books.

And to further sweeten the deal, we’ve created a companion book, Holiday Decorating.

Great post, Kristy. Like most people, I love Christmas stories. Whether it’s at the holidays or throughout the year, curling up with Christmas on Main Street will be one of my favorite reading times. I look forward to Joan Reeves’s addition this year. As soon as I get my hubby to pull down our Christmas decorations, I’m going to incorporate crafts from our new Holiday Decorating book, which is a gift to our readers this year. Happy reading!

  5. Thanks for the opportunity to promote some holiday cheer! I’m ecumenical; I have both a Hanukkah story and one about Noche Buena, the Christmas Eve party celebrated by Cuban Americans here in Miami.

Third Night: Can Joe reconcile his belief in the tenets of Orthodox Judaism with the religion’s disapproval of his sexual orientation? Or will his crush on his friend Yehuda ruin their friendship and leave him ostracized by his community? What will happen on the third night of Hanukkah?

Noche Buena: Sean McCartney gave up a computer career to work as a carpenter on South Beach, but the real estate downturn has left him unemployed and questioning his decisions. He’s spending his free time in the pool with the other guys from the Miami Beach Gay Swim Team.
The team’s coach, Gaspar Fuentes, is single and forty-five, and feeling lonely at Christmas. So the guys decide to surprise him with a real Cuban Noche Buena, Christmas Eve. Because he has free time, Sean is roped into organizing with Magnus Anderson, a real Type-A personality who’s constantly hounding Sean to do this, do that. Sean can’t stand him, and he gets the impression Magnus thinks Sean’s a real loser. But neither of them can deny the sexual attraction between them. Can they make it as a couple? When the party’s over on Noche Buena, will they open their presents together, or go their separate ways?

  13. I don’t typically read Christmas/Holiday stories, but I was pleasantly surprised by On the 12th Date of Christmas by Nikki Lynn Barrett http://amzn.com/B00GK9N67O

After being mugged, Robin Sorenson is left shaken and her spirit in humanity is broken. Worse, she’s not sure how to deal with the new anxieties or who to confide in, since she’s always preached to pick oneself up and move on. Yeah, she’s been the go to girl when anyone’s had problems. Christmas is coming, and her belief in magic and miracles has faded.

    Then Jonas comes back.

Jonas Aimes made a mistake when he walked away from Robin a year earlier. A big one. He’d loved her, always had and still does, but his desire to please his aging and strict parents took precedence. Back from the overseas internship they’d struggled to get him in, he plans on winning Robin back. What he didn’t count on was discovering the shell of the vivacious woman he’d loved.

    Broken.

Remembering her love of Christmas, Jonas pulls the holiday heartstrings. What? All is fair and love and war, right?

    Twelve days, Twelve Dates.

Robin is speechless when Jonas not only refuses to leave her alone, but dares her to accept his cheesy holiday-themed challenge. Twelve dates to give him a chance to prove that he loves her and is never leaving her again.

But in the season known for miracles, can Robin find the magic needed to open her heart and faith once more … or will she forever wonder about the ghost of the Christmas past that could have been?

  15. These books sound like just the thing to put me in the holiday spirit. I also have one to share. My sexy short story, New Year’s Bang, will get your year off to a good start!

In high school, Troy and Lita had lusted after one another from afar. As members of two different cliques, their paths had been forbidden to cross. But the temptation was just too powerful. Their feelings had spiraled out of control, but their young love couldn’t survive. Now years later, Lita meets up with Troy again. The chemistry between them still sizzles, and she knows she has to take a risk. She makes a New Year’s resolution to get Troy back and, this time, she vows not to let anything get in their way.
