Do you love Christmas Stories?

Who doesn’t love a Christmas story? I know I do. There’s nothing so relaxing as to curl up with a steaming cup of tea and a good book. It’s even better if snow is falling outside and you’re sitting in front of a crackling fireplace. I can almost smell the wonderful scent of wood burning and the shadows of the flames dancing across the room. Maybe there is a bowl of popcorn and a snoozing puppy at your side.

Sigh. We can’t have it all. Or can we? We  can certainly try.

Authors of Main Street are excited to announce we have a New Five Boxed Set Coming Soon!

My book for the upcoming boxed set is, Christmas at the Granger Inn.

I’m reminded of early one evening when my son, and foster son, were on the trampoline in our back yard. They’d both come running into the house, as white as ghosts. Pun intended. 🙂 Both described a dark haired lady in a purple dress, hovering beside them. They were so scared, I couldn’t help but believe them. Who’s to say what they saw isn’t true? We live on a section of where there was an old plantation years ago. So, I’m also reminded of hauntings surrounding homes such as where this house now sits.

Though I haven’t written anything with a ghost before, one of the other authors mentioned she has a ghost in her story. So, intrigued that I was, and after a lot of thought and a lot of what if’s, my ghost emerged. I found writing this story has been so much fun!

The authors have all new books in the boxed set, but not all of the wonderful stories have a ghost. I hope those of you who do like them, enjoy my new ghost story!

About Carol

Carol falls in love with every character she writes in her books. She loves basing them on the good and the bad personalities that make up life. That's what makes them real. Carol feels as though she’s in a movie when visualizing characters and she jumps right onto the page with them. Often the theme of her books is forgiveness. Whether planned or not, forgiveness sneaks its way into her stories. That's okay, because Carol believes forgiving others is essential. She favors a great story, with slices of twists that cause her to reflect on the problems life throws at us and how we react. Carol believes in happy endings. Humor is a big part of her stories and daily routine, and yes, she laughs a lot! Travel is one of her favorite things to do. She dabbles in art, always has popcorn and hot chocolate on hand. Carol is a small-town girl at heart and her stories are peppered with a dose of humor, based on Southern roots. She currently resides in Georgia with her husband and family.

Like any average person, I believed ghosts were a figment of the imagination. That was until I moved to this old moneypit that I call home. Saying I live alone is a joke. It’s not at all unusual for me to spot another being. And lately something seems fixated on taking my hair brushes. Three times in one week they have vanished from my bathroom? HUH? This is getting expensive!

I love a good ghost story. We have several haunted places where I live. One of my favorites is Raynham Hall where (true part of the story), a young American girl fell in love with a British officer living in her home during the American Revolution (the first Valentine card was given to her by her officer), but was forced to choose between love or country when she overheard Major Andre’s plans to have Benedict Arnold betray the patriot troops. When the war ended, the young girl never married, and it’s said her ghost haunts the property, waiting to be reunited with her officer. I’m soooo looking forward to this box set!
